Mr. Nyenkan received a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and also completed his MSc in Water and Environmental Management at Staffordshire University, UK. Before beginning his fellowship year, he worked as a Senior Engineer and Environmental Officer for the USAID Food and Enterprise Development Program for Liberia, where he worked with farmers and contractors to maintain best practices for their work. As a Humphrey Fellow, Mr. Nyenkan hopes to research practices in sustainable management of water, focusing on water use in agriculture and the protection of drinking water sources through a watershed management approach. He is also interested in investigating the role of voluntary tools for environmental management and mitigating the effects of climate change.
