Swarnalakshmi Karivaradharajan is a visiting scholar under Indo-US Fulbright – Nehru Academic & Professional Excellence Award (Research) from India. She started her career as an ARS (Agricultural Research Service) – Scientist at ICAR-Indian Institute of Pulses Research (IIPR), Kanpur in 2003. Then she moved to ICAR-IARI, New Delhi in 2010 and has eight years of experience in research, teaching and extension in Agricultural Microbiology. At IARI, she was involved in the studies related to interaction of chickpea genotypes with Mesorhizobium. During her Fulbright grant, she aims to analyze the role of beneficial rhizobacterial interactions with chickpea.
