Mr. Jihad Atallah has spent the past eight years as an electrical engineer consultant specializing in preliminary and detailed design, as well as tender documents, including administrative conditions, and the technical specifications for infrastructure, residential, and industrial projects. He’s acquainted with tender evaluation of contractor’s works, including site field inspection, as well as the monitoring of operations and maintenance procedures for large projects such as airports, data centers, tunnels, and public smart LED Street lighting (IOT systems), and waste water and leachate treatment plants. Mr. Atallah holds master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Balamand University and oil and gas from Saint Joseph University, Lebanon.

Prior to joining the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, Mr. Atallah was working on projects in coordination with the USAID/Performance Management Support Program for Lebanon, where his work was examining all electrical studies, calculation reports, drawings, specifications, and other documents presented by third party consultants, and rendering in writing the results of the design to meet client requirements.

During his fellowship year, Mr. Atallah plans to expand his knowledge in green energy modeling, smart cities, and technology transportation planning with a focus on electric cars as well as participating in technical courses that are related to his relevant areas of interest.
