Bio

Mr. Ahmad has been working for national and international development for almost a decade. His strengths are program management, energy policy, environmental management, energy efficiency, SME development, project design, donor coordination, fund mobilization, renewable energy and climate change. He has designed and led energy and climate change mitigation projects in Pakistan. He has played a vital role in the promotion of renewable energy systems for power generation in SME sector of Pakistan. Mr. Ahmad has experience working on mini-grids, rural electrification, project feasibility development, feasibility analysis, project financing, policy & regulatory framework, capacity building and strengthening of technology support system. He is an electrical engineer with a degree of BEng (Hons) Electrical Engineering from University of Wales, UK. Before joining the Humphrey Fellowship Program, he was working for United Nations Industrial Development Organization as the National Program Manager, Sustainable Energy. During the fellowship year, he would like to work with the California Energy Commission, Stockholm Environment Institute and UN Headquarters, New York to enhance his knowledge on natural resource management, energy and climate change policy.
