Bio

Stephane Dan has over nine years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, specifically in drilling. Currently, Stephane is a project engineer at the Ivorian National Oil Company (PETROCI), where he focuses on designing, planning, and implementing drilling activities. He also searches, finds, and produces oil and natural gas, in conjunction with international partners working in the domestic market. Stephane is also passionate about agriculture and is working on three projects aiming to reduce famine, bring affordable produce to market, and spur inclusive economic growth for rural populations. He holds a master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Ivorian National Polytechnic Institute and has completed various online certificates (MOOCs) in various subjects, including sustainable development, project management, corporate social responsibility, democracy development, and sustainable energy issues. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Stephane plans to strengthen national policies in energy management, making them more sustainable by subsidizing renewable energy and increasing power efficiency. In addition, he vows to continue his social engagement and advocate for the reinstatement of national service in Côte d’Ivoire.
