Bio

Tangeni Shituleipo Hangula is an agricultural specialist. His passion lies in imparting knowledge to others and inculcating the culture of producing food organically. He is a firm believer in organic food production and advocates for the realization of food security and sustainable agriculture in Namibia. In addition to his role as an instructor, he oversees the DAPP (Development Aid from People to People) Vocational Training School's organic garden, poultry, and goat production units, where he conducts myriad technical and pragmatic activities that augment his students' skills, knowledge, and attitudes about organic agriculture and sustainable food systems. Tangeni studied agroecology and sustainable agriculture at the Universidad Politécnica Territorial de Mérida in Venezuela. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Oshikwanyama. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, he will continue working toward food security and sustainable agriculture in Namibia.
