Sustainable Energy is the hope of Africa. That is why Jean-Philippe Seya has spent over 5 years of experience in the energy sector. Currently, Jean-Philippe is a Power Project Design Engineer at Aggreko International Power Projects, where he focuses on improving energy access across Africa countries by designing emergency power plants; he has led such projects in more than 20 African countries. Jean-Philippe is strongly involved in community initiatives by training young engineers through academic programs. He holds a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute of Yamoussoukro (Cote d'Ivoire) where he focused on energy and sustainable development. Jean-Philippe is driven by his passion for renewables; he believes that improving energy access can lead to a better quality of life within local communities. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Jean-Philippe plans to improve his work's quality by integrating environmental and social concepts learned from courses and activities in a sustainable perspective; why not, even sky is not the limit.
