Melissa Christa Kalitera has more than three years of experience working in the electricity sector. Currently, Melissa is monitoring officer at Electricity Generation Company (Malawi), where she focuses on data management and strategic performance management. She is a member of the Economics Association of Malawi and a gender focal person in the organization. Melissa holds a bachelor's degree in social science (economics). She is committed to growing her career in the energy sector and motivating other women to pursue a career in the energy sector. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Melissa plans to pursue a master's degree in economics.
