VentureWell aims to foster diverse and inclusive innovation in STEM through its 28-year commitment to advancing entrepreneurship and technology. The Ecosystem Futures Fellowship supports higher education leaders in developing STEM, innovation and entrepreneurship growth plans focused on environmental sustainability, social impact and inclusive innovation, with $35,000 in funding per team.

Merit and Promotion Guidance for Globally Engaged Scholars
In August 2023, the Academic Affairs “Annual Call” introduced an optional Statement of Contributions to Public and Global Impact that faculty can now include in their merit and promotion dossiers. The statement encourages candidates to “tell the story” of their public and/or global engagement in ways that reveal its full breadth and impact to the colleagues who will evaluate their accomplishments, especially when that impact may not be evident in MIV and the Candidate’s Statement alone.
Language and Culture Coaching for Graduate Students
Graduate students can sign up for the Language and Culture Coaching Program to practice their oral communication skills in English in one-on-one or small group settings. Registration opens mid-September for fall quarter.

UC Davis welcomes 12 Fellows in the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a prestigious program that brings accomplished and exceptional mid-career professionals from around the world to host universities throughout the U.S. This is the 33rd cohort of Humphrey Fellows hosted by UC Davis.

Mandela Washington Fellows Ignite Talk: My Permanent Grief
During their Fellowship at UC Davis, Mandela Washington Fellows develop Ignite Talks, short and poignant speeches that spotlight issues facing their communities, their lives and the world. The 2024 cohort chose this passionate Ignite Talk from Kelsey Kalu (Nigeria) to represent them at the Mandela Washington Fellowship Summit in Washington, D.C.
