Picnic Day and Give Day

Picnic Day 2023: Ignite Our Moment

April 15, 2023
Picnic Day is one of UC Davis' most revered traditions and serves as the university's annual open house. Cheer on Global Affairs and the International House Davis as they walk in the parade while carrying international flags and representing global cultures.

After the parade, enjoy entertainment from around the globe at the World Stage at California Hall, sponsored by Global Affairs.

Give Day: Invest in the Future of Global Education

April 14-15, 2023
Coinciding with Picnic Day is the seventh annual UC Davis Give Day, a 29-hour fundraising drive to support UC Davis programs and research that make an impact on California and the world.

We invite you to join us in advancing the interdisciplinary research and collaborations that will solve global challenges, and prepare our students to create a more just and equitable world.

You can donate to UC Davis during Give Day, which starts Friday April 14 at noon and ends on Saturday, April 15 at 5 p.m., or by giving early to the Global Affairs Annual Fund, Global Education for All Excellence Fund, International Scholars and Students at UC Davis, Global Community Emergency Fund, Global Aggies Award for LGBTQIA+ Rights or another fund of your choosing.

Don't miss the chance to multiply your impact by supporting one of our matching gift opportunities of more than $17,400 thanks to some of our most generous donors, including Bob and Cathy Kerr, Drs. Peter and Marion London and Ralph J. Hexter and Manfred Kollmeier.

Teaching for Global Learning

This faculty workshop series offers UC Davis faculty members from all disciplines, colleges and schools concrete tools, techniques and strategies for globalizing their course content. The “hands-on” workshops assist faculty in developing global learning frameworks and practices, grounded in theory and with measurable outcomes, to make their students’ learning experiences more responsive to global challenges and opportunities. A few spots are still available in the next cohort, which begins on April 14, 2023. Please contact Elizabeth Langridge-Noti at elangridge@ucdavis.edu or Aliki Dragona at apdragona@ucdavis.edu, if you are interested.
